Capella Cruise Halong Bay

8:00 - 8:30: The shuttle bus (book in the next step with an additional fee) will pick you up from your accommodation in Hanoi Old Quarter. It takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes (156 km) to get to Tuan Chau Marina in Halong City.

Along the journey, you can take a short rest at the Ha Long Pearl, where you can learn about the different stages of pearl cultivation. It is also a great chance to purchase sparkling pearl-based souvenirs and bring home a piece of the region's unique culture and craftsmanship.

11:45 - 12:10: As soon as you reach the Capella Cruise Lounge at No. 27 Tuan Chau Marina, the staff will help you to complete the check-in process. Then, you will be transferred by a tender in about 15 minutes to board the main ship.

In addition to receiving your room key, you will be served a welcome drink as you listen to the cruise manager’s introduction and safety procedures. After that, let’s leave your luggage and get ready to enjoy a buffet lunch at Harmony of the Sea restaurant!

Diverse buffet lunch dishes in both Vietnamese and Western styles

6:00 - 6:15: Let’s welcome a new day with the Tai Chi session on the sundeck. This wellness exercise is ideal for early birds to refresh their body and minds after being busy on the first day.

Afterward, your energy will be fulfilled with a light buffet breakfast including delectable starters, appetizers with a selection, and various beverages at Harmony of the Sea restaurant.

Then, we will transfer you to our tender to visit Dark & Bright Cave by bamboo boat. The calm waters and the gentle movement of the boat allow you to appreciate the geological formations and shadows within the cave fully.

Passing through the cave will amaze you with a vast lagoon surrounded by majestic limestones.

9:00 - 9:30: After you've finished exploring, it is time to return to the cabin and recheck your personal belongings before checking out.

10:30 - 11:00: You will have a delightful buffet brunch while cruising toward Halong Bay before saying goodbye and thanks to crew members, and then moving to the tender to get back to Tuan Chau Pier.

It will take about a 2.5-hour drive on the highway to reach the Halong Pearl export processing area. You can buy some souvenirs from local pearl products, and then gain valuable insights into cultivating pearls. 

You might arrive at Capella's waiting lounge at No.27 Tuan Chau Pier, to process check-in at around 11:45 - 12:10. After that, you will be transferred to Capella's tender to get the main ship.

Upon reaching the cruise, a beverage will be served as a part of the warm welcome from the crew. You will receive your room key and listen to the cruise manager briefing the ship's introduction and safety procedures before check-in.

The restaurant offers an amazing buffet lunch and an incredible bay view.

Afterward, it is time for you to savor a delicious buffet lunch served in Harmony of the Sea restaurant and relish the majestic natural scenery of Lan Ha Bay.

Let’s join the Tai Chi session on the sundeck to feel the pure Lan Ha Bay early atmosphere in each breath. A light breakfast is ready to fulfill energy for the excursion with diverse Western and Vietnamese foods.

The second-day excursion is on a small day boat, which is much more convenient for you to explore various off-the-beaten landscapes.

We are sailing to Viet Hai Village, where Cat Ba residents' long-standing cultural values and history date back more than a century ago. Upon arrival at the pier, you can choose a bicycle along the winding road or use an electric cart through the beautiful lagoon to the hidden village. Biking is a wonderful chance for you to discover the normal life of locals as well as catch a deep breath of picturesque mountains.

Cycling through the cave to Viet Hai village to enjoy the tranquility of Cat Ba Island

Here, you can visit an ancient house and interact with locals to learn about fishers' lifestyles and make rice wine. This is definitely an awesome experience highlighting your trip.

Optional: Unwind with a natural fish massage service. Your blood flow will be stimulated by the fish, and a sense of calm will wash over you.

The journey continues to Ba Trai Dao Beach, whose name comes from the three small mountains that resemble peaches, rising dramatically from the sea. It is time for immersing in pristine water or sunbathing on white sand.

After transferring back to Capella Cruise, you will have time to unbend onboard and get ready for a tasty lunch.

The last morning on Lan Ha Bay starts with a Tai Chi class at around 6:00 - 6:15. 

After a light breakfast, the guide will lead you to a tender and move to the floating port for a bamboo boat discovering Dark & Bright Cave. This system of water caverns makes you feel surprised when rowing into and seeing the amazing stone cliffs and lush trees.

10:30 - 11:00: It’s time to say goodbye to the Capella Halong Bay cruise team. A tender will take you back to Tuan Chau Port after roughly 20 minutes.

On arrival, you'll have the option to explore Viet Hai Village either by bicycle or electric car and admire a scenic 6-kilometer ride, passing by a beautiful lagoon and a charming cave.

When reaching the village, you should take your time to wander around and engage with the friendly locals. Or it is great to get a glimpse of their lifestyle and traditions as you visit an ancient house and learn the art of rice wine making.
