Domestic flights cover long distances quickly (Hanoi–Da Nang, Da Nang–HCMC). Trains suit coastal segments; private cars or vans work for Hue–Da Nang–Hoi An. Ferries and flights both reach Phu Quoc.

Hoi An, Da Nang beaches, Phu Quoc, and gentle Halong day cruises are popular with families. Avoid overly strenuous treks with young children unless you choose short, guided village walks.

In many cases, eligible travellers may stay in Phu Quoc for up to 30 days under the island’s visa policy when arriving under the permitted routes—always verify current immigration rules for your passport before travel.

For nature: Halong Bay, Ninh Binh, Sapa, Mekong Delta. For nightlife and city energy: Ho Chi Minh City and parts of Hanoi. Beach resorts in Da Nang, Nha Trang, and Phu Quoc offer a middle ground.
